Welcome to Shark Investing

Welcome to Shark Investing,

We are pleased that you’ve taken the time to take a look at our online community of individual investors. As you may already know, James “RevShark” DePorre has made a name for himself over the years by challenging traditional Wall Street wisdom by championing the interests of individual investors, showing how they can utilize their unique advantages of size and speed to swim circles around the Whales of Wall Street.

One of the first things you may notice is that, since there are so many ways to use sharkinvesting.com, the amount of information can seem a bit overwhelming at first. That said, once new members have a chance to settle in, they find that the site organization allows them to utilize it in a way that is best for them.

There are several benefits to the site, and we would invite you to take a look at these two features first. RevShark's Strategy Journal is a way for us to take the overarching ideas and approaches of Shark Investing any apply to what is going on in the market right now. Notions such a "protect your capital" and "follow the trend" are universal and will serve individual investors greatly, but knowing when conditions are appropriate for action and when they call for caution are essential if you desire to have success in the market. Rev will post numerous entries to his journal throughout the trading day, providing insight which is unlike anything else you will find in the popular financial media.

Another key area is the Lagoon. We have two message boards, one of which is dedicated to shorter time-frames, while the other is focused on a more “swing trade” approach where positions are held for weeks or months, or even longer. One of the things that many who decide to take control of their own investing fate are surprised by is how much active market participants rely on instant messaging programs. Big hedge fund traders are constantly talking with self-employed traders, institutional money managers, other traders at big brokerage houses, etc... The point is that people who choose to participate in the market find that they do much better by surrounding themselves other investors with whom they can share information and ideas. That is the exact thing that we provide our members in our moderated chat boards, and is one of the more powerful features of our site.

There are plenty of other areas to explore as well. As part of our services we provide several A/V alerts throughout the week which will visually illustrate the stocks we are trading and why we are trading them. We think they are worth the price of admission by themselves. We also produce proprietary research, and these reports will examine various stocks in greater detail. Click here to download a sample report.

Of course, what self-respecting stock market related web site would be complete without timely stock picks? RevShark’s Sharkfolio is a real money portfolio of stocks that Rev trades in order to illustrate the principals and concepts of Shark Investing.

The bottom line is that the principals of Shark Investing present the ideal framework for individual investors to succeed in the stock market and that our online community is a great way for anyone who wants to break the shackles of traditional Wall Street and surround themselves with other like-minded investors.

Again, thank you for your interest in Shark Investing, where we attack with confidence, retreat with speed and profit with precision. Isn’t it time you swam with the Shark?
